Counter-Strike: Global Offensive

Just two days ago, Valve officially announced that a new Counter-Strike will come out.

It is said that Counter-Strike: Global Offensive will be out in early 2012. Not much is known about it yet (besides for the few that play tested it) but there will be new characters, maps, weapons and map updates to some of the more popular maps such as "de_dust".

If Valve were to make a sequel to CS:S, it would be now. Even though CS:S is 7 years old, it is still going strong and it seems like a great idea to capitalize using a sequel instead of letting the light burn out.

Are you excited by the news of a new "Counter-Strike"? What FPSs are you playing in the mean time?

Woah, I used to be addicted to this game. I might get back into it now.

I'm more of an RPG, wizards and dragons kind of guy. Plus I'm a peace activist, so I tend to avoid these kind of modern war games, but, if you enjoy it that's all that matters. :)

I'd play this game simply because I'm a massive Valve fanboy.

That being said, I am complete shit at the game.

Counter Strike and DOTA 2...

Sadlty the first will be eaten alive by Valve's own Team Fortress and the second faces LoL.

This is so cool! Its weird how they are bringing back such an old school classic! Valve has always done a great job with their games though, I am not worried!
